It is now possible to manage Entra ID groups and group memberships directly from the IDM-Portal. This increases user-friendliness and convenience for administrators significantly. This gives IDM-Portal direct access to the Microsoft Cloud and the ability to use Entra groups. The following options are now available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Display<\/strong> of all Entra ID groups and members<\/li>\n<li><strong>Creation<\/strong> of new Entra ID groups<\/li>\n<li>Edit and <strong>delete<\/strong> Entra ID groups<\/li>\n<li>Edit <strong>group members<\/strong> and <strong>owners<\/strong> of Entra ID<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All changes made in the IDM-Portal are <strong>saved in Entra ID<\/strong>. These include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>M365 groups<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li><strong>security groups<\/strong>,<\/li>\n<li>and<strong> Active Directory groups<\/strong> synchronized to the cloud (in read-only mode).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the same time, administrators can use the \u201c+ Create Group\u201d button to create new groups in Entra ID.<\/p>\n<p>When you open an Entra ID group, the \u201cGroup Members\u201d tab shows <strong>all Entra ID group memberships<\/strong>. In addition, they automate group memberships by implementing role- or attribute-based rules.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Improved-traceability\"><\/span>Improved traceability<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In addition, a trace logging switch in the configuration has improved error analysis in the IDM portal. If a user action causes an error in the portal, the portal now automatically sends an error message with the IP address and name of the user. This helps to trace who and what caused the error on the client side and makes troubleshooting easier.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Further-optimizations\"><\/span>Further optimizations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In the latest version of IDM-Portal 5.1, the <strong>GUI has been improved<\/strong> by optimizing the display of profiles and list views.<\/p>\n<p>Improvements have also been incorporated into the <strong>installation and update process<\/strong>. For example, the <strong>trigger scripts<\/strong> are already activated during installation and the <strong>Automation Service<\/strong> is easier to connect. The <strong>Group Managed Service Account<\/strong> can now be specified during installation.
