Included are <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>performance improvements<\/strong> to the automation service and PowerShell provider, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>improvements to the AD connections<\/strong>, such as the AD-HR connector, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>enhancements in the user interface<\/strong> for more detailed search results, <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">as well as several bugfixes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Performance-improvements\"><\/span>Performance improvements<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Extensive refactoring and code enhancements <strong>have improved the performance, stability and efficiency of the IDM-Portal <a href=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/en\/authorization\/automation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">automation service<\/a><\/strong>. As a result, automation features such as <a href=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/en\/authorization\/approval-workflow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approvals<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/en\/authorization\/automation\/#timecontrol\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scheduled administration<\/a> are up to date and can now<strong> easily handle large orders with several 1000 tasks<\/strong>. As a 64-bit version, the Windows service runs more stable and can use more memory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/en\/systems\/powershell-iam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PowerShell provider<\/a><\/strong> has also been optimized. The <strong>execution of trigger and other PowerShell scripts has been accelerated<\/strong>, so that waiting times are now significantly reduced or completely eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, there have been further improvements to the <strong>AD connection<\/strong> with the new release. <strong>Parallel accesses are now possible in a shorter time<\/strong>, so that even more users can work with the portal simultaneously. This is particularly valuable for larger companies, as the <strong>AD connector runs reliably, quickly, and still saves resources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"More-search-columns-for-better-employee-search-results\"><\/span>More search columns for better employee search results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>From the perspective of the end users, the new release offers an <strong>extended display table of all employees<\/strong>. In the user, group and computer search, <strong>12 columns can now be defined<\/strong> instead of just 10. The automation service uses a customized CSV connector to <strong>read out new users (e.g. from a <a href=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/en\/systems\/connect-hr-systems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAP-HR system<\/a>) and create them in AD<\/strong>. This <strong>simplifies and speeds up user management<\/strong> many times over.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Same-approvers-on-multiple-levels-receive-only-one-notification\"><\/span>Same approvers on multiple levels receive only one notification<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In many companies it happens that <strong>an <a href=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/en\/authorization\/approval-workflow\/#approvers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approver is registered in several stages<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/en\/authorization\/approval-workflow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approval workflow<\/a><\/strong>. If an approver has already approved at a previous stage, they will not receive a second email in this release; instead, <strong>the current stage will be approved automatically<\/strong>. This eliminates additional, unnecessary emails and makes the workflow more efficient.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/en\/authorization\/approval-workflow\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-41447\" title=\"Release 2020.4 - Improved approval workflow\" src=\"https:\/\/firstware.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Genehmigungsworkflow_GIF_EN_Weiss.gif\" alt=\"Release 2020.4 - Improved approval workflow\" width=\"600\" height=\"358\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Complex-approver-identification-in-automation-service\"><\/span>Complex approver identification in automation service<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Likewise, the action module for approver identification has been expanded. This makes it possible to store an <strong>approver configuration<\/strong> in an SQL DB and convert it into <strong>approval steps &amp; approvers<\/strong>. There are direct and dynamic filters.\u00a0This new module available for IDM-Portal customers replaces the previous PowerShell scripts and runs more stable and faster than before.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"BugfixesImprovements\"><\/span>Bugfixes\/Improvements<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In IDM Portal version 2020.4 minor bugs from the previous version have been fixed.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Coming-soon-Major-Release-20220\"><\/span>Coming soon: Major Release 2022.0<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>This year, a major release of FirstWare IDM Portal 2022.0 is coming with promising new features and a new look for end users.
